Who we serve

Built for organizations with four to forty facilities.

Most security integrators are built for one of two customers: the single storefront, or the national enterprise buying through a procurement framework. Multi-location organizations in between get the worst of both: a consumer product sold at scale, or a national contract with a subcontracted technician who has never seen the building.

Kestrel exists for the middle. We serve the Carolinas and Mid-Atlantic with our own technicians, our own UL-listed monitoring center, and one assigned account engineer who surveys your first location and is still on the account three years later.

01

No subcontracted labor

Every install and service call is performed by a Kestrel employee. There is no regional partner network between you and the work.

02

Certification is the deliverable

Carriers reduce premiums on certificated systems, not installed ones. We issue the documentation your underwriter actually asks for.

03

Pricing you can audit

Unit price times location count. Recurring lines stated separately. The proposal and the invoice are the same document.

Capabilities

Six systems, priced per location.

No bundles and no obscured line items. Every program is priced the same way: unit price multiplied by location count, with monitoring and maintenance stated as separate annual lines.

01
Access control
Networked door control with a complete audit trail. Credentials issued and revoked across every location from one console. A lost badge is dead in seconds, not on the next service visit.
$2,400
per location
02
Video surveillance & analytics
IP camera systems with line-crossing, loitering and license plate recognition. Retention and export configured to your legal team's position on video records, not ours.
$4,800
per location
03
Intrusion detection
Detection specified to the protection grade your carrier actually requires, then certificated, which is the part that unlocks the premium reduction.
$1,650
per location
04
24/7 monitoring
Dual-path signaling into our own UL 827 listed central station in Charlotte. Nine operators, no offshore handoff, average acknowledgment under nine seconds.
$1,740
per location / year
05
Installation
Rough-in and trim by Kestrel technicians, never subcontracted. After-hours and phased cutover on operating facilities at no premium.
$1,200
per location
06
Annual maintenance
Scheduled preventive service plus reactive dispatch, with a named technician per account who has personally walked your closets and risers.
$780
per location / year

Standard monitoring term is three years; five-year terms carry a discount. All pricing in USD and excludes sales tax, remedial cabling and structural work.

Industries

Where we do our best work.

We do not chase single-site retail and we do not bid national framework contracts. Our programs are sized for organizations running facility portfolios, where consistency across locations matters more than the price of any one panel.

Financial services

Branch networks

Carrier-mandated protection grades, dual authorization on secure areas, and recording that holds up as evidence.

Retail

Store portfolios & distribution

Shrink analytics, back-of-house access control, and one operating picture across every store and DC.

Healthcare

Senior living & clinics

Visitor access control that satisfies a state licensing survey without turning a residence into a checkpoint.

Logistics

Warehousing & industrial

Perimeter detection, yard plate recognition and dock coverage for facilities running around the clock.

Education

Independent schools

Lockdown control, safeguarding-aware camera placement, and work scheduled around the academic calendar.

Carrier-driven

Insurance-triggered refresh

An aging estate, a claim, or a renewal condition. We survey, specify, certify and hand the file to your broker.

The difference

A camera that nobody is watching is a receipt, not a control.

Equipment is the easy part of this industry. What separates programs that work from programs that merely exist is whether someone qualified is on the other end of the signal, and whether the paperwork stands up when a carrier or a regulator asks for it.

Central station

Monitored in Charlotte, by our own people.

Our UL 827 listed central station is staffed by nine Kestrel operators. Signals are never routed to a third-party wholesale monitoring provider, which means the person who picks up your alarm has access to the same site records as the technician who installed it.

  • UL 827 listed, TMA Five Diamond certified central station
  • Dual-path signaling with cellular failover on every account
  • Redundant power and a fully mirrored secondary receiving site
  • Average alarm acknowledgment of 8.2 seconds across 2025

Results

Seven communities, nine weeks.

Ardleigh Care Group came to us with a state licensing survey finding on visitor access control and a fixed remediation deadline. We surveyed all seven communities in eleven days and cut over without relocating a single resident.

“They were not the lowest quote on the table. They were the only firm that told us in writing which protection grade we needed, and why, before we had signed anything.”

How it runs

Survey first. Always.

A multi-location program typically runs 90 to 120 days from first call to final commissioning. Nobody should quote your portfolio off a spreadsheet, including us.

Step 01

Scoping call

Thirty minutes. Location count, age of the existing estate, and what triggered the review: an incident, a carrier, or an expiring contract.

Step 02

Site survey

Chargeable and credited on order. We walk the buildings, test which cabling is reusable, and confirm the protection grade your carrier requires.

Step 03

Priced proposal

Per location, itemized, with the monitoring term on the first page. Certification documentation and the carrier packet attached.

Step 04

Contract & legal

Where most projects stall. Our standard position on termination, service levels and video data handling is published up front, not negotiated late.

Step 05

Phased installation

Kestrel technicians, after hours where a location cannot close. Pilot site first, then rollout against a fixed schedule.

Step 06

Handover & monitoring

Certification issued, portfolio connected to the central station, named technician assigned. Q4 installation slots fill by late September.
